Discover The Furry Cardigan

About the material
Nylon is the core yarn, and cotton brushed bouclé (a knitted fabric with a yarn loop on the surface) is wrapped around, covering the nylon. The soft and fluffy texture feels great on your skin, and we recommend it for those who have problems with the tingling sensation of wool. Also, this cotton knit cardigan can be easily cared for, and you can wear it every day. It is a seasonless piece, and even though it contains cotton, you can use it during the winter season. That is because the fuzzy finishing makes it warm.

About the design
The shawl-collar three-button cardigan gently wraps around the back of the neck.
It is a whole garment and so, a non-sewn knit. It means that there are no shoulders or side seams. Therefore, thanks to this knitting technique, the garment has no tension, and it is very comfortable to wear. Also, a small percentage (5%) of polyurethane added to the yarn prevents it from losing its shape and provides a fit.

About the colour
The mood recalls the warmth of a cocoon. Light brown with an intense yellow tinge, it is a colour that makes you feel all the warmth of the knit.

Easy-care material. Machine washable.
This item can be hand-washed at home. We suggest laying it flat to dry.

The collar has a beautiful V-line, so you can enjoy coordination by layering high-necked inners and looking into colours and patterns. Extremely versatile, The Furry Cardigan is suitable for wearing in different combinations.

Good design, quality, timeless, seasonless, easy-care. Style made to last.

Entering The Season: Fall/Winter 21

Reading Time: 2 minutes

A slow dive into our curation for the new season

Soon we will start introducing our selection for the coming season, Fall/Winter 21.

We are going forward with a certain sense of slowness. The ‘hurry-up’ attitude is part of the status quo, which none seems interested in questioning–but we do. In fact, from N.Y. to Paris and Milano, the bandwagon of fashion shows is starting again following the same stale rules.

However, keeping in mind our timeless approach, let’s go through the garments we have selected for you. And for us, as well.

Fall/Winter 21 curation of meaningful garments

First, the perfect pants. One wide-leg version, one straight-leg – both in Supima cotton. The material has a shiny finishing that makes it look like silk. Moreover, a special treatment makes it warm too.

Then, we found a couple of basic knits in a striped jersey. There’s a boat-neck version and a turtle-neck. Slightly loose fit, they are the perfect complement to multiple outfits.

Of course, we couldn’t miss an asymmetric oversized pull in extra-fine wool. The worsted yarn makes the texture very soft.

Also, we’ll show you a cool cardigan designed as a whole garment. It means there are no shoulders or side seams, so it is very comfortable to wear.

As a more elegant piece, we picked a sleeveless v-neck boxy dress, under-knee length. Three fabrics with different textures are sewn together and then pleated. Unique!

A maxi collar blouson looks so stylish even when worn unbuttoned. And a cocoon sleeved maxi dress. The texture is dry and soft. There’s also a boxy sweater with a horizontal line at the body. It comes in soft lambswool.

Lastly, the sweatshirt is never too casual. We picked one with a zipped detail so you can wear it backside front too.

We thought we needed some colours to boost our mood. Therefore our palette goes from comforting tones to some bright hues. Black, grey, off-white, camel, green, mustard, yellow, purple.

Please, check our Instagram account to see the new arrivals for the Fall/Winter 21 season, and stay in touch with us.
We’d love to hear from you!

Awakening: Social and Ethical Consciousness

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Exploring the impact of modern issues on personal responsibility and collective action

Awakening means developing your consciousness – ethical and social – in order to become a better human.

Awakening is an intentional choice. Indeed, it is the act of opening our eyes to realise what happens inside and around us. Once we understand the reality, the damage we have caused to other people and the environment, awakening follows.

Therefore, we become aware that acting without considering the consequences – in other words, acting without a long-term ethical vision – is not a worthy choice.

Awakening requires our eyes to see, our brain to think and pay attention, freeing our conscience to emerge. For instance, we reach a higher level of consciousness by reading books, essays, or newsletters. Following thoughtful leaders. Interacting and sharing ideas in a community. Perhaps we could list other ways, but honestly, meditation is not our field of knowledge.

Ultimately, awakening is free.
So, you can pay someone to turn on the light for you, but then the process is yours, and no one can do it for you.

How does it all connect to fashion?
Believe us, it does. Fashion, as a reflection of our society, is part of a system based on exploitation. Part of the world is living at the expense of others and the planet.

The result of awakening is that we are no longer satisfied with this system. We cann’t take it as it is. So, we want to bring about change.

How do we do it?

We do it by offering you a thoughtful selection. By intentionally choosing fewer itemsonly what we really need. Unique pieces. By no longer conforming to fashion rules but instead being active agents of change. By infusing our own vision and values. More is not the answer. Rather, less but better with more ethical choices.

How do fashion brands do it?
Smaller production runs, higher quality, and shorter and adequately paid work chain. No sales, just real, balanced value. No modern slavery serving fast fashion.

How do you do it?
Consume less. Choose wisely.

Heading To The Beach In The Maxi Shirt Dress

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Versatile summer fashion: the perfect blend of comfort and chic

Heading to the beach and thinking about beach style brings a sense of joy and freedom. After all, getting ready for a holiday by the sea sounds so refreshing.

But to truly rock the perfect beach style, do we need to completely change our clothing?

We do not think so. In fact, it’s just a matter of styling the pieces in different ways and playing with the accessories. For instance, take the maxi shirt dress. The ultimate seasonless garment–it’s one of the most versatile pieces. Its soft texture and shaped silhouette are absolutely unique.

In town, it is easy to match in a perfect layering style. Wear it with a pair of jeans, a skirt or try it unbuttoned on a dress, adding a belt to complete the look. When the weather is cold, the options are a top or turtleneck underneath or a cardigan over.

Heading to the beach? At the seaside, when the sun shines, it’s time to roll up the sleeves, button-up only the top buttons, and match it with shorts and flat sandals. So you’re all set for a stroll through the village.
Are you going to lunch at the beach? Slip on the maxi shirt dress completely unbuttoned over your swimsuit. And don’t forget to add a straw hat.

There are garments worth investing in, and the maxi shirt dress is one of those. Seasonless, timeless, versatile, comfortable, easy-care. It’s a piece that cannot be missing from your wardrobe.

We don’t need to buy tons of items. We need fewer pieces, but good quality.

Finally, in case you cannot get your hands on our maxi shirt dress, here’s our style tip: take a shirt from your husband, boyfriend or father’s wardrobe. That oversized fit makes it effortlessly cool!

Details Make The Difference

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Understanding quality fashion versus mass production

Although it is easy to copy high-fashion items, the difference between designer pieces and fast fashion is tangible.

With fast fashion, you get low-quality materials and poor construction, not to mention labour exploitation. Those elements change the final result completely.

By the way, it is well-known that people don’t see details.

Designer collaborations with fast-fashion chains are a way to make money by reaching a broader audience, which otherwise wouldn’t approach the brand. But what’s left of the original design? Does anyone notice that there is nothing of the original designs in those garments?

We still remember the first collaboration Karl Lagerfeld did with H&M. There was a lot of hype, so we decided to try. We bought many pieces, also some lingerie-style reminiscent of Chanel. Whenever we had the occasion, we tried on one or the other, but there was always something wrong. Pull one side, pull the other, no way to make the top, or the dress, seem decent.
The fit was terrible, stitchings and materials too. We ended up wearing some of those pieces as pyjamas.

Since we bought many items, the total amount was not small. Rethinking of it in terms of worth, did it make sense? Wasn’t it better to buy only one valuable piece, which we could wear for years? Rather than wasting money on several pieces we never wore?

Designer vs fast fashion

Indeed, that is the trick: reproducing a similar shape doesn’t mean tailoring the same construction. It doesn’t imply the same stitching ability and, definitely, not the same materials.

The quality of materials, together with the knowledge in crafting, are what make a piece of clothing look beautiful. And only expert hands can shape the proper fitting.

Change those ingredients, take out the sartorial touch, and instead of a Chanel imitation, you get a rag. Instead of an oversized dress, you get a garbage bag.

Yes, details make a huge difference.
