Explorations

2022

First post of the year

2022
First post of the new year.
The eighth month in this online adventure.

Tiny breadcrumbs scattered around.
Subtle traces meant for those with a discerning eye. Diverse explorations crafted for people like us, people who care.

If words resonate with you, you’ll feel comfortable with us.
Indeed, no obsessive marketing will draw you in. An intentional and conscious choice is your response. It’s a matter of evolution because you’re on the same page.

Due to an unforeseen event, we have shifted to the online world. It’s a resilient response to a life-changing occurrence.
However, the easiest solution would have been a quick fix. No concepts to explore, no food for thought. Just mass-market clothing, from top brands to fast fashion. Easy to sell and make money. The status quo never dies.

Perhaps we are crazy for undertaking the opposing direction. We believe fashion is not about being frivolous but a way to inspire and make a change. So, the idea is to provoke a cultural shift. Change for the better is our commitment. It’s an engaging journey that takes time, a long-haul path. But too much effort goes unnoticed by the majority.

And that’s why you are not part of that majority. Indeed, you’ve read this far. So, you don’t stop at titles but seek deeper understanding till the very end.

Values and consistency drive your lifestyle choices. As a result, you don’t buy just anything. No overconsumption. You are selective.

If style and values don’t align, our connection is unlikely to last. And that’s perfectly fine. What we do isn’t for everyone. We don’t need a large audience.

We need the right people along with us.
And for you, we’ll continue to search for unique pieces, worthwhile designers. And we’ll bring our vision of fashion, lifestyle and societyto life by celebrating the value of rarity.

2022! Agents of change, this is for you #formodernhumans
We are proud to serve you again this year!

2022 – Happy New Year!
We are humbled by the trust and loyalty we’ve received again this year. The bond we share with you is so precious, and we carry it straight into the new year.

It’s more than fashion. By mixing ideas with a curated selection, we focus on deep meaning. Yes, we are aware that our approach is very different. So, we are proud to have the chance to serve you.

Together, we celebrate life and beauty, unafraid to discuss complex matters. Though we may have different viewpoints, we share common ground in defining the world we wish to create. Let’s continue our journey together, exploring possibilities and embracing mistakes, for that’s how we build something new.

Happy New Year

Thank you for appreciating what we do. Thank you for inspiring us and supporting our business.

We love you very much!

The Power Of Colour

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Transforming perspectives through vibrant expression

Colours impact our mood. There is a connection between colours and emotions. Indeed, colours have a psychological and cultural effect on us.

Whenever we read how to match colours or what combination to avoid, it’s always complicated to sympathise or recognise ourselves in the articles.

You can agree or disagree with the writer, but the main point is you. Rather than being influenced by someone else, you need your brain to work actively. In the end, the way you match colours depends on your personality, your perception of colour. And, on your mood.
Colours tell the story of who you are. And who you are defines everything!

However, we don’t listen to those who tell you how to match your eye tone with a scarf.

Colours and mood
The colour therapy – by Cri – suite123

This is how we match colours

We place the garments one next to the other to check the chromatic harmony. If we like the combination, we wear it. Simple, right?

Are there hues “not for you”? That you wouldn’t wear next to your face?
If it’s a sweater, pair it with a contrasting colour turtleneck basic underneath. Of course, you can do the same with a jacket or a cardigan.

The way you combine colours changes the way they look on you. In fact, for us, it’s not about the colour per se but how you style it.

If you are a colour lover like Cri, you love matching all the colours of the rainbow! So, play with purple, yellow, orange, green, red. And mix them. Colours are a beautiful expression of style and an optimistic attitude.

If your personality is softer, understated, you can start with just one bold colour item. But give yourself a little time.

And here’s a fundamental aspect to consider: colours are mood boosters. When you’re feeling a bit down, slip into a colourful garment, and watch your mood lift.

As Kandinsky said:

“Color is a power which directly influences the soul.”

For this Fall/ Winter season, some mood booster hues were much needed. And so, our maxi stoles are purple or yellow. Our felt totes, are green or orange. Choose your favourite via DM or email!

The End Of Fur Farming in Italy

A step towards banning animal abuse

Good news: it’s the end of fur farming in Italy. Yes, we’ll say it again: Italy has shut down fur farming.

Animal killing for fur production has been banned in Italy. Despite profit and vanity, every now and then, an ethical choice prevails.

It is a fact we do not need fur to warm our bodies anymore. And we have known it for a long time. Killing animals for the sole purpose of garnishing our clothing and accessories has completely lost its sense in our modern society. We are not primitives, and the era of the ’50s divas is gone. Furthermore, there are countless alternatives to keep the body warm when it’s cold or embellish our garments, all while avoiding that senseless cruelty.

So finally, in Italy too, the Government has passed a law to ban this horrendous practice. As of January 2022, the ban on fur farming, including the breeding and killing of minks, foxes, raccoons, chinchillas, and other animals for their fur, is officially in place in Italy. As a result, mink farms will be closed within six months.

Not all evil leads to harm

When the pandemic struck, many fur farms in the Netherlands reported numerous cases of Covid-19. It was soon revealed that minks were spreading the virus due to their heightened sensitivity to it. They could be infected and then transmit the virus in a mutated form, posing a significant risk to public health. Naturally, this discovery played a key role in the decision to close fur farming.

Many countries in Europe have already moved or are moving in that direction. But, even if they all banned fur production, it’s still possible to commercialise fur items everywhere. What’s the point? It is obvious that someone will benefit from this situation. And that “someone” is China.

The end of fur farming in Italy marks significant progress. This law is one step forward. However, banning fur farming is not enough. To solve this issue, a ban on commercialising fur items must follow.

Perpetrating animal abuse is a cruel practice – definitely NOT a choice #formodernhumans

Christmas 2021: a moment to pause and reflect on a challenging year

Let’s take a moment together, a moment to pause and reflect. This year has been challenging. Across the world, we have had to overcome difficulties, learning to live our lives in a different way. Yet, the power of our connections has grown marvellously.
So today, we want to take the opportunity to share our joy and gratitude, trusting in the positive energy that bonds us. Embracing this beautiful energy.

Even in the toughest moments, we’ve discovered unexpected strength and a deeper sense of togetherness. And so, let’s take a moment together. As we pause today, let’s honour the quiet power that has kept us grounded and embrace the new paths ahead, shaped by this renewed sense of connection and purpose.

Navigating through it all, we’ve not only adapted, but evolved. Now, we stand at the threshold of something new, more attuned to our values and what truly matters. With each step forward, let’s carry the lessons we’ve learned and the strength we’ve gained.

In this moment together, we want to express our gratitude for your presence.
Thank you for being present.

Much love and Merry Christmas!
