100% Supima cotton: woven with luxurious yarn which gets combed and spun compactly. Indeed, this high-power stretch material is a standard in Plantation collections. By spending time and effort on the finishing process, the designing team has created a unique fabric: soft with an elegant sheen like a silk blend. Also, by inserting thicker threads than those for spring and summer in the weft and brushing the back side, it is finished in autumn and winter specifications with a warm touch.

An I-line silhouette jersey dress with a creased effect. The exposed zipper along the centre back adds an edgy accent. Sleeveless, crew neckline, two side slip pockets and rear slit. Also, it comes with a detachable cord belt.
You can pass the cord belt from the centre back through the side pocket holes, cross once at the front and once at the back, and tie a front bow for a well-balanced tie.

About the material
Polyester jersey with washer pleats. The fabric has good elasticity and average thickness. This item is pleated by heat and pressure. Indeed, when buying a pleated garment, polyester is the best choice because the pleating never drops out.

About the colour
Available in green, a dark tone that is easy to match with everything.

This product can be hand washed at home in cold water. Do not iron! This item is pleated by heat and pressure. By repeating wearing and washing, the pleating could gradually disappear. So when wearing or storing, do not apply pressure for too long.

Today we introduce The Brushed Stripe T-shirt by Zucca.

A piece that stands out but it is easy to wear and comfortable. Also, the aesthetic is seasonless, the quality of the material excellent, and the design is cool.

About the design
Cotton short-sleeved T-shirt with a paint brush drawing design along the front and solid colour back. Some maxi stripes have imperfect lines that resemble a brush stroke. And this paint effect creates a punkish mood. Also, the silhouette is boxy with a round neckline.

About the material
The material is 100% cotton. Specifically, it is sturdy cotton which is seasonless. Also, it has good elasticity and a non-glossy hand.

About the colour
Grey base with a white maxi stripe design, a two-tone combination with a matte effect. The front is bicolour, and the back is monochrome. The mood is punkish but refined. And we opted for this colour combination because we like the idea of this particularly sophisticated contrast. It stands out without being aggressive.

Issey Miyake: design is for life

Tribute to one of the last geniuses of fashion

Yesterday Miyake Studio released the news that the Japanese designer Issey Miyake has passed away.

Even though he chose fashion as the medium to express his creativity, calling him a fashion designer is quite limiting. Indeed, he was more than that: a survivor, inventor, and humanist who challenged dressmaking and the modern world. In just one word, he was an artist.

Born in 1938 in Hiroshima, his family was killed by the first atomic bomb when he was a child. But he didn’t talk about that. Instead, he preferred to look forward, focusing on what he could create. He spoke about it only in support of Barack Obama’s pledge for nuclear disarmament.

A trailblazer in Japanese design, he mixed easter and western elements, creating a new innovative style. His fluid modernity changed the vision of clothing. Furthermore, he launched the technologies that allowed him to make his innovative garments. He also pioneered his pleating technique.

“In the Eighties, Japanese fashion designers brought a new type of creativity; they brought something Europe didn’t have. There was a bit of a shock effect, but it probably helped the Europeans wake up to a new value.”

Issey Miyake: a revolutionary genius

His original idea is one piece of cloth: cutting garments from a single fabric, an exercise between material and form. He worked with the body in movement, fascinated by the space between the cloth and the body.

Today we introduce The Denim Shirt Dress – by Plantation.

A thoughtful design aiming to reduce production waste is a fundamental step for a conscious fashion mindset. Indeed, this garment is modern and stylish.

About the design

It is a zero-waste pattern with a unique design realised by using the fabric cutout of the curved sleeves along the hemline.
Also, the hemline at the back is square, and the front is round, giving a cool asymmetric silhouette.
Inside the sleeves, you’ll find a flap with a buttonhole which holds the sleeves when you roll them up. Two pleats along the back provide amplitude to the armpit and shoulders, making the movement comfortable.
Front button closure plus a self-tie belt. One side slit pocket. Under-knee length, two side slits.

It is a dress suitable for many occasions: to wear it as a dress, adjust the waist belt tightly, or wear it as light outerwear by opening the front buttons.

About the material

100% cotton – lightweight indigo denim. Fresh and comfortable.
The zero-waste pattern cuts the fabric in order to avoid production waste. Instead of the conventional zero-waste technique, consisting of linear and complicated parts, Plantation designers want to create a zero-waste pattern for everyday wear. Indeed, the curved design provides extra comfort.

About the colour

This item is indigo dyed. Indigo dyeing has a natural texture, and you can enjoy the unique colour change as the colour fades when you wash it. Since the colour will fade, please avoid wearing it with white items prone to colour transfer.
It is a washed product in order to give a unique texture.
